What in the World!!!???

Here it is, Halloween Day! A day to dress up, be creative whether that means be scary or cute or musical or theatrical in any way your creative lense inspires you.
Halloween dress up day was never about a day to offend or belittle anyone. It was full of lighthearted fun, costumes, school dances, with candy at the base of it all.
A day to Enjoy!

How in the world have we gone soooo sideways in our thinking, that now just about everything is Offensive! Halloween is a celebration for kids!!! to express themselves and have Fun. Where has the Fun gone? Where has the freedom to express yourself (always as long as it is not with ill intent) where has it gone!!!
Our World is Striving to mold a world of sheep (probably cannot use the analogy of sheep anymore either!)- herd the pack – sell them all the same story. YOU are not YOU- YOU are the YOU we will allow as long as you Blend. Absolutely everything has now become OFFENSIVE.
What is the end goal here!? To wipe out all of our backgrounds- our heritage- our stories- our cultures- so we can blend? Abolish Individuality? That cannot be- because we are all different and that cannot be changed.

In a world that no longer makes sense- when a child on Halloween cannot go to school dressed up as one of their musical icons without offending the school system, when the only intent was too compliment their favorite singer!!???

I am saddened. What I do know for sure is that I will Not raise my children to have this closed mindset. I will continue to raise them with their pure hearts and teach them to be resilient and unafraid to challenge the small minds.
