Are we ever really ready to watch children launch out on their own? From birth we have nurtured, loved and protected them to the best of our ability. The days, months, years flow by most of the time without us even realizing how quickly they have grown. Suddenly, one morning as you drop them off, you remind them to check in with a simple thumbs up emoji. Being together 100% of the time is no longer, we now spend 50% of our time together. To stay connected you ask for the “emoji” and with a twinkle in their eye and a sweet smile, you hear “ Don’t worry, I got this.” And off they go. For a moment you sit and watch them walk away.. Whoa, I have prepared them for this.

What I do know for sure, is that we pour our hearts and souls into raising children. It is almost always not easy. One day they are ready to launch with us in the background, holding our breathe just a little, glossy eyed and full of love and admiration. Your doing great!
