This, See Me Culture?

There are many thoughts and feelings that emerge when thinking of our current world. One thoughy is how seamlessly it seems that we have quickly implemented all that technology has offered us. We think we have become so connected and yet you can sense the disconnect surrounding us. It is never more apparent as when your driving your kids around. You with the radio on, listening to the music of today and yesterday, while your kids snap tons of pictures of themselves in the 15min car ride. How easily have they become so conditioned to share every second of their life. The worth they find from this habit is truly mind boggling and yet it is never enough because they continue to snap pictures continuously.

Something I know for sure, is that relating to this current generation is no easy feat. Finding common ground and understanding of each of our decades is often met by enormous frustration from both sides. Yet, remaining confident (biased) that we (1970’s Babies) came into this world at the best of times. We have so much knowledge, courage and common sense that we may just be able to steer our teens out of the technology abyss. At least, enough to dent their conditioning, even if just a little.

Raising children is no easy task, ever. We have developed a plan that we follow and pivot when needed. Life is in motion . The thirst to learn daily and infuse unwavering effort in all that we do, strengthens the belief that they will see more of us, then the world needs to see of them.
